Turkish Smalti Medallions

Handmade 10cm (4inch) medallions made from float glass and mineral oxides. These mini pizze are made in the Byzantine tradition of Ancient Smalti and are less glossy and colour saturated than modern Italian smalti. They are more moody with distinct textural differences on all sides. They can be cut easily with hammer and hardie or with a good pair of wheeled nippers. We recommend our PowerPlus nippers that have expandable jaws. Each Medallion weighs +/- 350g
